Patrick Dorugge scored his first goal for the club as Manchester United beat Newcastle United 1-0 on Friday to move up to fifth in the table.

Denmark international Dorgu scored the only goal of the game in the 24th minute at Old Trafford. The defeat continued Newcastle's poor run of form away from home this season.

Newcastle have won just two of their 12 away games in all competitions this season.

United have 29 points from 18 games after their home win in two months, level with fourth-placed Chelsea. Newcastle remain in 11th place on 23 points.
