At the general meeting held on Saturday, newly appointed members of the National Rugby Football Union, Shant Kumar Mehta, Anjana Shrestha Maskey, and board member of the Madhesh Province Sports Development Council, Nishesh Kumar Shrestha, were also honored.

On the occasion of the 13th Annual General Meeting of the Nepal Rugby Association, the best male rugby player of the year 2025, Navin Bahadur Magar, and the best female rugby player, Manisha Ghising, were awarded. Both are army players.

In the general meeting held on Saturday, newly appointed members of the Rugby Association, Shanta Kumar Mehta, Anjana Shrestha Maske, and board member of the Madhesh Province Sports Development Council, Nishesh Kumar Shrestha, were also honored.

According to the annual report presented by Treasurer Deepak Adhikari in the meeting, rugby has passed a budget of Rs 13.5 million.  

In the meeting, which was attended by most of the seven provinces, 58 districts, and 7 national clubs, association president Deepak Devkota had submitted a proposal to open branches abroad to expand the scope of rugby. Which was unanimously passed by the general meeting. General Secretary Govinda Ghimire presented the progress report and future plans. Priority has been given to school-level competitions in his future plans. 

The general meeting was inaugurated by Ramcharitra Mehta, acting member secretary of the National Sports Council. Outgoing member secretary Tanklal Ghising said that all parties should take initiatives to make rugby professional.
