Everest School has won the title of the 18th President's Running Shield Competition at Biratnagar Metropolitan City level. Everest won the title with a total of 31 medals, including 11 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze, in the competition held at the Shahid Stadium on Friday.
In the competition organized by Biratnagar Metropolitan City and coordinated by Everest Secondary School, Adarsh Secondary School came second with 26 medals including 8 gold, 11 silver and 7 bronze, and Satyanarayan Secondary School came third with 22 medals including 8 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze.
In the boys' triple jump, Samir Rajbanshi of Janata Secondary School won the gold, Rohan Sharma of Satyanarayan Secondary School won the silver, and Aman Rajbanshi of Adarsh Secondary School won the bronze. In the girls' triple jump, Priya Mishra of Star Secondary School won the gold, Tarba Khatun of Mills Secondary School won the silver, and Mohini Das of Adarsh Secondary School won the bronze.
In the 800-meter race (boys), Nitesh Bhattarai of Satyanarayan Secondary School won the gold, Samir Rajbanshi of Janata Namuna Secondary School won the silver, and Bibas Adhikari of Galaxy Secondary School won the bronze. In the 200m race (boys), Birat Rajbanshi of Mahendra Secondary School won the gold medal, Abhishek Yadav of Araniko Secondary School won the silver medal, and Ayush Rajbanshi of Janata Namuna Secondary School won the bronze medal. In the 200m race (girls), Phulkumari Rajbanshi of Saraswati Secondary School won the gold medal, Priya Mishra of Star Secondary School won the silver medal, and Anjila Bhattarai of Adarsh Secondary School won the bronze medal.
In volleyball, Ari Bahadur Pariyar of Pokhariya Secondary School and Salisma Singh of BKVM were declared the 'Player of the Tournament' in the boys' category and in the girls' category, Salisma Singh of BKVM were declared the 'Player of the Tournament'. In kabaddi, Dipesh Rajbanshi of Mahendra Secondary School and Santoshi Raya of Satyanarayan Secondary School were declared the best player in the boys' category.
