Devipur Royals defeated Nepal Terai City Berogar Team by 98 runs in the Chandrapur Premier League, which concluded on Friday under the second edition of the Chandrapur Mayor's Cup League T-20 cricket tournament.

Devipur will play the semi-final against Samanpur Bolts on Saturday.

In the tournament being held at the Kotihome Sports Ground in Chandrapur-8, Devipur, who won the toss and elected to bat, scored 149 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the first innings with the help of 13 fours and 4 sixes. Dinesh Bohra of Devipur, who was declared the Player of the Match, scored 48 runs in 32 balls and was out lbw. Another player, Sahil Patel, scored 30 runs in 19 balls. Arjun Gharti scored 23 runs in 15 balls. Mayan Yadav scored 13 runs in 14 balls. Ramchandra Dhamal scored 10 runs unbeaten. The other players did not score much.

Nepal Tarai City Beroj Team's Ashik Baitha took 3 wickets. Sunny Sah took 2 wickets. Mansoon Singh, Jitesh Mandal and Dayanand Mandal took 1 wicket each. Nepal Tarai City Berog team, chasing a winning target of 180 runs, was restricted to 51 runs in 14.3 overs. Rit Gautam scored 12 runs in 15 balls. Gautam is the only player in the team to score the most 12 runs.

Other players could not score double-digit runs. Jitesh Mandal scored 7 runs in 14 balls. Sunny Sah scored 6 runs in 14 balls. Sachin Yadav scored 5 runs in 13 balls. Ranbir Yadav, Daya Mandal and Abhishek Karki could not score a single run. All three were out for zero. Most of the players could not settle at the crease.
