James School has lifted the champion trophy for the third consecutive year in the third edition of the Thunder Bolts Cup.

In the sports organized in 32 categories of 12 different sports, James won a prize of Rs 500,000 by scoring a total of 49 points. AVM School came second and Nisarg Batika School came third. AVM had scored 20 and Nisarg Batika 11 points. 3,500 student players from more than 107 schools from within and outside the Kathmandu Valley participated.

The winners were awarded by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) General Secretary Kiran Rai and James School President Rajesh Khadka. General Secretary Rai said that James is taking the lead in the campaign to promote school sports and reminded that young talents are produced through such competitions.

At the closing ceremony, NOC Sports for All Commission President Bishnu Gopal Shrestha, Thunderbolts Development Center Technical Director John Whittle, Little Angels Principal Mukunda Raj Sharma, Nepal Judo Association President Deepak Harsh Vajracharya and other personalities were also present.

On behalf of the organizing school, Educational Director Rajiv Chhetri congratulated the participating schools and players and wished them well for next year.
