Nepal APF Club defeated departmental rival Nepal Police Club by 107 runs in the Indo-Nepal T20 Cricket Championship on Tuesday.

In the tournament being held at the Gautam Buddha International Cricket Stadium in Bharatpur, APF, which won the toss and elected to bat on Tuesday, scored a huge total of 212 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs with half-century innings from captain Sumit Maharjan and Deepak Bohra. 

Sumit scored 58, Player of the Match Bohra scored 57, Dinesh Adhikari scored 37 not out in 8 balls and Amarsingh Rautela scored 20 not out in 7 balls. Police's Shravan Yadav took 3 and Sujan Thapaliya took 1 wicket. 

In reply, Police were all out for 105 runs in 13.2 overs. Police's Dipendra Rawat scored 35 and Arjun Gharti scored 22 runs. APF's Abhishesh Gautam took 4 wickets for the loss of 18 runs, while Diwan Pun took 3, Bhuwan Karki took 2 and Salauddin Khan took 1 wicket. 

Tribhuvan Army Club, which entered the field without four key players including its regular captain, achieved a hard-fought victory against home team Chitwan Cricket Club in the first match. After captain Binod Bhandari, Bhim Sarki, Shahab Alam and Bashir Ahmed were included in the national team's closed training for the T-20 World Cup, the Army entered the field under the captaincy of Jitendra Singh Thakuri.

Inspired by wicketkeeper/batter Arjun Saud's 93 runs, the Army scored 175 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Arjun, the player of the match, hit 5 sixes and 7 fours in 54 balls before being caught out by Gautam KC. Imran Sheikh scored 27, Santosh Yadav 21 runs. Gautam of Chitwan took 3 wickets, Dipesh Shrestha and Naresh Pradhan took 1 wicket each. 

In reply, Chitwan was all out for 162 runs. Batter Prateek Shrestha played an explosive innings and kept the Army under pressure till the end. He scored 62 runs off 40 balls before being caught by Imran Sheikh at the boundary. Region Kafle scored 23, Bipin Khatri scored 22 and Gautam KC scored 11 runs. Army's Akash Chand took 4 wickets for 15 runs, Durgesh Gupta took 3, Aparajit Poudel took 2 and Naren Saud took 1 wicket. 

On Wednesday, Army will face Talatala Institute Kolkata and in the second match, Chitwan will face Delhi Wonders of India.
