Lahan Patangwa of Hangdewa, Phungling Municipality-9, Taplejung, who participated in the AFC Asian Cup Under-23 Football Tournament, has been honored at his home. In the presence of Koshi Province Minister for Industry, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Khagen Singh Hangam, locals honored Patangwa at his home.

Playing for Nav Prayas Youth Club, Phungling Municipality-9, Hangdewa, he participated in the competition held in Tajikistan from Bhadra 18 to 23. On the occasion of his arrival in his home district, he was honored by the club's representatives and local youth.

Local Bishwaraj Rai informed that the honor program was organized at home with the aim of providing energy to his parents and family members and the program was concluded in the presence of the minister.

'Even now, there is a thought in the village about what can be achieved by playing,' said local son Maden, 'Our aim is to explain it to the parents of the village as well.'
