When the club was established, Pokhara's ABC, Sangam Club, and Sahara Club were in the news. Players from Laligurans Tole used to play football for these clubs.

Laligurans Tole is located in Ward 12 of Pokhara Metropolitan City. The youth of the area worked hard to change the perception of this neighborhood, which was once infamous for hooliganism, and established the Laligurans Association Club.
This club, which is involved in activities ranging from organizing musical programs to social service, is also playing in the ANFA National League this year.
The Laligurans' football journey from the ward level of Pokhara to the national league is no less exciting. In 2069 BS, the club planned to hold a concert by Nepathya at the Pokhara Auditorium. But to organize the concert and make the necessary security arrangements, the organization had to be registered. Club president Dambarjung Gurung remembers registering the organization with the District Administration Office just to hold the concert. The club's branches started opening in countries including Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Britain, America, Macau, and the UAE.
The club spent the savings from musical programs and the support received from members abroad on the relief and rehabilitation of Seti River flood victims and earthquake victims. The club reached Dhading and Gorkha during the 2072 earthquake and distributed relief. The club organizes blood donation every year on Baisakh 3 during its anniversary. When the club was established, Pokhara's ABC, Sangam Club, and Sahara Club were in the news. Players from Laligurans Tole used to play football for these clubs. After the organization was registered, the club formed its own football team. In 2071/72, it formally entered football as a member of the Kaski District Football Association. Although the club established its own football academy, it could not continue after the Corona pandemic. Siddharth Ranjit, who played for the U-19 national team, is a product of the academy.
Laligurans has managed to reach the national league in a decade of football journey. Laligurans has entered the national league by winning the Kaski District League and the Province League and lifting the trophy of the ANFA President's League held in Hetauda last November. Chitlang Football Club, the runner-up of the President's League, and the remaining two semi-finalists, Bara's Nawa Janajagruti Club and Surkhet's Kankre Bihar Sports Club, have entered the national league. 17 teams, including 13 from the 'A' Division and 4 from the President's Cup, are competing in the national league to be held in Kathmandu from December 25, organized by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
ANFA was supposed to organize the Martyrs' Memorial 'A' Division League and play a national league between the top 6 teams and the top 4 from the President's League. However, ANFA decided to hold the national league before the 'A' Division League. It has been decided to hold the 'A' Division League after the national league. After 13 teams registered their names in the national league, apart from Himalayan Sherpa, it has been decided that there will be a competition between 17 teams. Church Boys United, Machhindra, Nepal Police, Jawalakhel Youth, Satdobato Youth and NIT of the 'A' Division League were in the top 6. Seven more 'A' Division clubs, namely Tribhuvan Army, Manang Marsyangdi, Sankata, Friends, APF, Planning Boys and Shree Bhagwati Club, will compete. Planning Boys and Shree Bhagwati are the teams that have moved up from the ‘B’ division to the ‘A’ division.
ANFA’s decision to allow the four teams from the Mofusal to play the national league based on last year’s results instead of the ‘A’ division league this year has caused problems for the four teams from the Mofusal. ‘When there were only 10 teams, a team would have played 9 matches, but when there were 17 teams, 16 matches would have to be played,’ he says. ‘When the game is prolonged, the expenses of teams traveling from outside Kathmandu double.’
Even the 3.5 million rupees that ANFA provided to each team when there were 10 teams, now when there were 17 teams, a team will get only 1.5 million. When there were only 6 teams in the ‘A’ division, there was a possibility that the Mofusal teams would attract players from other teams. He said that now there is also a problem in bringing in good players. He said, "We submitted a petition to reconsider this decision of ANFA, but there was no hearing."
The club has planned to bring in three foreign players and include the rest of the players from Gandaki Province in the team. However, the club has seen a financial shortage after bringing in foreign players. Club General Secretary Ishwar Basyal says that it cost Rs 5 million to win the President's Cup. "We received a prize of Rs 1 million. It seems that it will cost Rs 10-15 million to play the national league," he says, "but the resources have not been confirmed yet." He said that although the support provided by the branch abroad and the support of local businessmen in the ward are being provided, the lack of expenses to play the national league is mainly seen. ‘We reached out to the Gandaki Province government for assistance, but they said they would not provide more than Rs 100,000,’ he said. ‘The support provided by the ward and locals is not enough.’
Reminding that Tokha Municipality provided Rs 10 million to Mr. Bhagwati and Simara Municipality provided Rs 5 million to Nav Janajagruti, he said that Laligurans also expected assistance from Pokhara Metropolitan City. ‘We are playing representing Pokhara and Gandaki Province,’ he said. ‘The club wishes that the metropolis, the provincial government and the business community here would also take ownership.’ He said that despite requests for assistance from the metropolis, no concrete decision has been made.
According to club coach Kiran Shrestha, it costs Rs 2.5-3 million to bring in three foreign players. It costs Rs 4-5 million per player to bring in a national player. He says that if we do not get a sponsor, we may not be able to play. ‘If we do not play, ANFA will take action. We are also going to play for the honor of Pokhara,' he said, 'Instead, we will put money from our pockets, we will not waste the honor of Pokhara.'
Kaski District Sports Development Committee Chairman Milan Gurung says that Pokhareli's support is necessary to make the team representing Pokhara successful. Earlier, Pokhara's Sangam Club had participated in the national league a decade and a half ago. Laligurans is the second team from Pokhara to play in the national league.
Chairman Dambarjung Gurung said that the club plans to play 'qualifying' after the national league. He said, 'Our goal is to rise to the 'A' division club in the next 3-4 years. For that, the source of funds has emerged as a challenge.'
