Greenpeace School defeated DAV School by 2 wickets in the third quarterfinal match held at the Marylebone Biratnagar Jwala Cricket Ground organized by the Nepal Cricket Foundation on Monday. Batting after winning the toss, DAV School scored 116 runs for the loss of all wickets in the stipulated 20 overs, playing 19.3 overs. DAV's Prabhans Karna scored the highest 40 runs while Greenpeace's Samim took 3 wickets.
Chasing a target of 117 runs in reply, Greenpeace School achieved the target with the loss of 8 wickets in 16.5 overs. Greenpeace's Shakir Alam scored 29 runs while Player of the Match Aamir Rain contributed an unbeaten 21 runs. DAV's Ans Agarwal took 4 wickets.
Similarly, in the fourth quarterfinal match, Orchid School defeated BKVM School by 14 runs to secure a place in the semifinals. Batting after winning the toss, Orchid School scored 122 runs in 19.4 overs in the stipulated 20 overs. Orchid's Prem Kamat scored the highest 53 runs and was named Player of the Match. BKVM's Jitendra Yadav took 3 wickets.
In reply, BKVM School, chasing a target of 123 runs, could only score 128 runs in 20 overs, losing 9 wickets. BKVM's Vivek Yadav scored 37 runs. Orchid's Prem Kamat, Sujan Yadav, Abhay Kamat and Ansu Kamat took 2 wickets each.
