The competition to be held in Dunkmandu, Boudha will be a selection for the Himalayan Java National Basketball League.
4 teams will be selected for the National Basketball League from the competition of 12 teams participating in the competition. Where 8 teams, including 4 teams that have already been selected, will compete.
According to Li-Ning Basketball Competition Coordinator Norbu Gurung, Kirtipur Club, Golden Gate College, Times College and Hounds Academy are in the national league.
The tie-breaker between the 12 participating teams was 'drawn' at a press conference on Sunday. The teams are divided into four groups: Group 'A' includes ISA, Tarhar and Nepal Army, Group 'B' includes Vishal Milan Kendra, Royal and Gandaki, Group 'C' includes Chanakya, Solo Basketball and Boudha Basketball Club, and Group 'D' includes Play Box, Boudha People Boat Club and Shankar Dev College.
Two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals based on the results of the league-cum-knockout. The team that reaches the semi-finals will be selected for the national league.
