Lumbini Lions, the winners of the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), are on a trophy tour. As part of this, the trophy was displayed in Tulsipur and Ghorahi in Dang on Sunday.
The tour, which started from Nepalgunj in Banke on Saturday, reached Dang via Bardiya on Sunday. The trophy was displayed at various places in Birendra Chowk in Tulsipur and Ghorahi. In Ghorahi, a team including Dang Cricket Association President Pradeep Majgaiya and Lumbini Sports Council Member Secretary Tirandaj Gautam welcomed the trophy and took it for a tour of the market. Players and sports enthusiasts participated enthusiastically in the trophy display.
Lumbini Lions franchise manager Gaurav Phuyal said that since it is a common trophy of Lumbini Province, they have planned to reach all 12 districts of the province to share the joy. He said that the trophy display is scheduled to reach Liwang-Sulichaur in Rolpa on Poush 27 via Rukumkot in Rukum East on Poush 28.
He said that there are plans to tour Nepal's famous Swargadwari Temple via Bhingri in Pyuthan on Poush 21, from Bijuwar to Chakchake Darbhang and Bhaluwang in Dang on Poush 22. There are plans to tour Kapilvastu's Chandrauta-Krishnanagar-Taulihawa-Gorusinghe on Poush 23, from Arghakhanchi's Supadeurali Temple to Sandhikharka on Poush 24 and from Gulmi's Tamghas on Poush 25. He informed that the aim is to tour Palpa's Tansen Bazaar on Poush 26 and Nawalparasi's Bardaghat-Sunwal on Poush 27 and from Rupandehi's Bhairahawa to Lumbini on Poush 28.
