Sher Malla, who was selected as the Emerging Player of the Year in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League Cricket, has been appointed as the brand ambassador of Sudurpaschim Academy (SPA) College.
SPA Director Subash Shahi said that the college has appointed him as an ambassador for a year in Dhangadhi, Kailali on Sunday.
Sher and Shahi signed the agreement for a year. Sher played an important role in making Lumbini the champion by performing well in the NPL. He created a sensation by taking 17 wickets throughout the competition and was jointly first in the list of highest wicket-takers.
Director Shahi said that Sher was associated with the college considering the emerging players from the Far West and their potential to do well in cricket in the future. Shahi said that the college has appointed the players as brand ambassadors with the aim of strengthening them financially along with their sports.
Cricketer Sher thanked SPL for the respect and support they have shown him, saying that the college is not only teaching but also supporting players like us from time to time, saying that it has inspired him to be more responsible in the sports field in the coming days.
SPA has also made international women's cricketer Kavita Kunwar and cricketer Narayan Joshi its brand ambassadors earlier, while Bread Box Cafe, owned by SPA, has also appointed international cricketer Binod Bhandari as its brand ambassador this year.
