Arsenal and Manchester City remain two points apart at the top of the English Premier League. Both teams won their matches on Saturday. Arsenal defeated Everton 1-0.

Victor Gacarres scored the only goal from the penalty spot. City beat West Ham 3-0 earlier in the day. Erling Haaland scored twice in that win. One goal was scored by Tijjani Rejenders.

After this result, Arsenal remained at the top with 39 points, while City remained behind with 37 points. Liverpool, on the other hand, managed to climb to fifth place after beating nine-man Tottenham 2-1.

In other matches, Leeds United beat Crystal Palace 4-1 and Brentford beat Wolves 2-0. Similarly, Newcastle United and Chelsea drew 2-2, Bournemouth and Burnley 1-1 and Brighton and Sunderland drew 0-0.
