The third James Thunder Bolts Cup began on Thursday at the James School grounds.
The Thunder Bolts Cup includes football, volleyball, basketball, futsal and cricket in the team category and swimming, archery, judo, taekwondo, table tennis, tennis, e-sports in the individual category, according to the organizer. More than 3,500 players from 107 schools across the country are participating.
The competition organized by the Sports and Extracurricular Activities Department of the James School with the slogan ‘See the dream, believe it, achieve it’ was inaugurated by the Chief District Officer of Lalitpur, Prem Prasad Bhattarai, on Thursday.
The inauguration was attended by the founding chairman of the James School, Rajesh Khadka, director of the Thunder Bolts Development Center, Barun Khadka, Bishnu Gopal Shrestha of NOC Sports for All, Devi Paudyal, director of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City Education Department, and Dr. Amit Kumar, CEO of Nepal Medicity Hospital, among others.

The main objective of this competition is to develop a strong sports culture and cordial relations among schools in Nepal. Sponsored by Thunderbolts Development Center and supported by Photon, the competition will run until December 9.
