Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha, Jhapa and Taplejung have reached the semi-finals of the Pusey Mela International Invitational Men's Volleyball Tournament. The departmental team Police Club Rani Biratnagar has been eliminated from Thursday's match.
According to national volleyball referee Krishna Chongbang, the finals will be played on Friday between Bhojpur and Taplejung, and between Sankhuwasabha's Sabha Pokhari and Jhapa's Damak.
In the match held on Thursday, Sankhuwasabha defeated Biratnagar Police Club Rani in straight sets of 25-21, 25-18 and 25-17. With Rani's exit, both Bhojpur and Sankhuwasabha have reached the semifinals.
The final will be held on Poush 5. The winner will receive a prize of 300,000 rupees and the runner-up will receive 175,000 rupees. The organizers have said that cash prizes have been arranged for the best server, defender, blocker, shooter, coach and emerging player.
