Host Mathrubhumi School 'A' has reached the semi-finals of the boys' section of the second Mathrubhumi Cup inter-school basketball tournament.

Matrubhumi 'A' defeated Kathmandu World School by a score of 57-29. Matrubhumi 'A's Arav Joshi scored 16 points. In the other league match, Innovative defeated Boudha School by 51-39. Innovative's Prithvi Dagaura scored 27 points.

KMC and Kasthamandap secured semi-finals in the girls' division. KMC defeated Boudha 32-22 while KMC's Akrusha Ghimire scored 24 points. Kasthamandap defeated Innovative by 36-15. Kasthamandap's Kasvi scored 13 points.

Kasthamandap will face Boudha Children's Haven and Matrubhumi will face Chelsea World School in the girls' division.
