Pokhara Avengers batsman Adam Rossington, who won the Presidential Platinum Cap for scoring the most runs in the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has been awarded a prize of Rs 50,000.
The Presidential Graduate School honored him for his outstanding batting performance. In Rossington's absence, Lumbini Lions assistant coach Subash Khakurel accepted the award cheque.
Rossington, who played for Pokhara, was the highest run-scorer with 323 runs in 7 matches. Despite Pokhara being eliminated from the league stage, Rossington scored a century and two half-centuries.
The Presidential Graduate School awarded the Presidential Platinum Cap to the player who scored the most runs in each match of the tournament.
The cap was awarded in collaboration with CAN, said the college's president Laxman KC. According to him, Adam Rossington, Mark Watt and Ravi Bopara received the Platinum Cap during the tournament.
The college, which has been the official education partner of the NPL since its inception, has also awarded Rossington a cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with the Platinum Cap.
