Chelsea World School reached the semi-finals of the girls' division of the second Matrubhumi Cup inter-school basketball tournament on Wednesday. Chelsea advanced to the last four with one game to spare from Group 'B' of five teams.

In the tournament organized by Matrubhumi School, Chelsea defeated Daffodil by a score of 35-7. Chelsea's Tenzing Kusang Sherpa scored 16 points.

In the girls' event, Boudha Children's Haven School defeated KMC 38-11 and Boudha School defeated Daffodil 18-13. Boudha Children's Lakesha scored 23 and Boudha's Soumya Tamang scored 7.

In the boys' event, Boudha School registered a 48-30 victory over James. The winner's Jumpal scored 16 points.
