Kasthamandap School has won the girls' section of the second Matrubhumi Cup inter-school basketball tournament. Kasthamandap defeated the host Matrubhumi 15-8. Amani Regmi of the winning team scored 5 points.

In the girls' category, Boudha Children's Haven defeated Daffodil 34-14 and Chelsea World School defeated Boudha School 26-10. Boudha's Lhomu and Lakisa scored 8-8 and Chelsea's Tenzing scored 12 points.

In the boys' category, Mathrubhumi 'B' defeated James 44-33. The winner's Kritin Poudel scored 18 points.
