The income and expenditure of the 'Second Ranujireshwari Bhagwati Cup' volleyball tournament held in Tansen from August 11 to August 15 were made public on Saturday.
The Srinagar Volleyball Club Palpa organized the competition and made public the income and expenditure of Rs. 1556,750. Club President Krishna Bahadur Ale said that the competition had an income of Rs. 1556,750 and an expenditure of Rs. 1543,905. He said that the club had saved Rs. 12,845 from the competition. The men's team that came first in the competition received Rs. 175,000 in cash, while the runner-up received Rs. 125,000. According to President Ale, Rs. 839,750 was the income from fundraising. He said that Rs. 227,000 was received from various offices and organizations including Tansen Municipality and Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality. He informed that Rs. 490,000 was collected from ticket sales. ‘We would have preferred to have the Ranujireshwari Cup adopted by Tansen Municipality,’ he said, ‘We have been able to conduct the game with the support of most volleyball fans.’ Rs 410,000 has been spent on the men’s prize money and Rs 73,000 on the women’s prize money.
The expenses included parapets, tents, officials, field construction and maintenance, volunteers, food, guest honors, sports equipment, certificates, tokens of love, entertainment tax, etc., informed Deepak Chauhan, secretary of Srinagar Volleyball Club.
