Three teams from host Valley Public have reached the quarterfinals of the 19th Valley Public Cup Inter-School Basketball Tournament.
Two teams from Valley Public Girls and one team from Senior Boys have reached the quarterfinals.
In the girls' competition on the home court, Valley Public 'B' defeated Satya Sai 21-20. Sanimaya Tamang scored 10 in the win. Drishya Gurung scored 10 as Valley Public 'A' defeated Canvas 25-17.
In the senior boys' competition, Valley Public defeated Himshila 67-50. The winner's Ashok Bishwakarma scored 31. In the same competition, Bagmati defeated Scholars Home 49-38 to make it to the quarterfinals. Bagmati's Aryan Shrestha scored 21 points.
In the senior girls' competition, Trijyoti defeated Ved Vyas 25-16 and Bagmati defeated Angels Heart National School 19-11 to secure a place in the quarterfinals. Trijyotiki's Prishna Tamang scored 10 and Bagmati's Dicky Sherpa scored 9.
In the junior boys' category, Valley Public failed to win. Paramount Academy registered a 21-15 win over Valley Public to advance to the quarterfinals.
