Basant Gauchan Football Academy to hold football camp

Basant Gauchan Football Academy is planning to organize a 3-day 'Funroots Japan Football Camp' for young footballers.

Basant Gauchan Football Academy has announced that it is going to hold a football camp targeting players aged 10 to 16 at Buddhi Bikas Mandal in Lagankhel, Lalitpur.

Former Nepali international football player Basant Gauchan and Japanese coach Yuta Ogura, who is coming from Japan, will provide training.

They will be accompanied by local coaches including Nepal's 'A' license coach Rajendra Tamang, the academy has announced.

Ogura is a certified level two instructor of the JFA. He was the U-13 coach of J League club Sonam Belmer for 3 years.

Ogura has been coaching various schools and academies since 2015. He is also associated with Funroots Football Academy located in Tokyo, Japan.

The academy has stated that it will provide 3-day training to players aged 10 to 12 from 9 am to 11 am and 13 to 16 from 2 pm to 4 pm.

Basant Gauchan, who was once a star of Nepali football, opened a football academy in his name 3 years ago and has been training children and youth football players. For the last two and a half decades, Gauchan has been involved in various football training, making Japan his workplace.

On Gauchan's initiative, every year for the last decade, Nepal's teenage players have been participating in the Copa Toreros competition in Japan for a week.
