He maintained a 4-1 lead in the second round and maintained a 5-0 lead in the third round and secured a place in the quarterfinals with a unanimous decision victory.
Earlier, Lal Prasad defeated Ethiopia's Alemu Abel Abatye 5-0. The Nepal Boxing Association has stated that if he wins the upcoming match, he will win at least 75,000 dollars.
