Rajan Rokaya of Tribhuvan Army Club won the 10-kilometer race of the AFCAN Road Race held on Saturday.

Sanjay Shrestha of the Army came second and Tayahang Rai of the APF came third. The first placer received Rs 25,000, the second placer Rs 15,000 and the third placer Rs 10,000. In the women's open 10 km race, Purnalakshmi Neupane of the Army came first. Nisha Sarki and Rajyalakshmi Rawal of the Army came second and third. The first, second and third placers received Rs 25, 15 and 10,000 respectively.

The race was organized by the Federation of Nepal Construction Entrepreneurs on Saturday on the eve of the 18th National Construction Day.

In the 5 km corporate race, Ramchandra Shrestha, Rakesh Maharjan and Sushil Kumar Shrestha were the first, second and third placers in the men's category and Sonu Ghatani, Nagina Maharjan and Rejina Dulal were the first, second and third placers in the women's category. The winners in both categories won Rs 10,000, the second placer Rs 6,000 and the third placer Rs 4,000. 

In the 5 km veteran race, Dharma Maharjan, Abhinarayan Adhikari and Mizuki Matsuzaki of Japan came first, second and third respectively. Kalpana Maharjan, Sharmila Basnet and Charu Aryal came first, second and third respectively in the women's veteran category. The first in both categories won 10,000, the second 6,000 and the third 4,000. Hasta Bahadur Sunar, Ajay BK and Ranjit Raut in the boys' category and Bhagwati Khadka, Sharmila BK and Ayushma Acharya came first, second and third respectively in the girls' category. In this category, boys and girls also won 10,000, 6,000 and 4,000 respectively.

The race, which started from the Federation Secretariat, passed through Bijulibajar Bridge, New Baneshwor, Tinkune, Sinamangal, Airport, Tilganga Hospital and returned to the Federation Secretariat via the same route. Competition coordinator Shivahari Ghimire said that 471 people, including players from Japan, China and Italy, participated in the FCAN Road Race. The association has stated that the Himalaya Running Club is the technical partner of the FCAN Road Race, while Everest Hospital is the hospital partner and Himalaya Everest Insurance Company is the insurance partner.
