In the competition that started on Friday, Valley Public won two senior girls' teams and all three junior and senior boys' teams. In the girls' team, both Valley Public 'A' and 'B' teams won. In Group 'A', the host 'A' defeated TIA by a score of 32-25. Valley's Lorissa Gauchan scored the highest 11 points. In Group 'H', Valley Public 'B' defeated Eden Bridge Academy by a score of 22-17. Sanimaya Tamang added 10 points.
Valley Public defeated Bhadrakali in both senior and junior boys. In the senior team, Valley Public 'A' defeated Bhadrakali by a score of 47-32, while Ashok Bik scored 26 points. Group 'A' includes the host 'A' team and Bhadrakali, along with Belmont and Greenland. In the junior team, the host Valley defeated Bhadrakali by a score of 14-9. The winner's Purnaraj Tamang scored 9 points. The other teams in Group ‘F’ are Angel Heart and Rajan Memorial. Eden Bridge defeated St. Joseph’s 21-15, BNA defeated BMCA 31-24, and Canvas defeated Kingdom 18-14.
In the senior boys’ category, Herald defeated Valley ‘B’ 19-14, Radiant defeated St. Joseph’s 20-16, and Genius World defeated Canvas 27-22.
In the girls’ category, Himshila defeated Canvas 18-14, Ferryland defeated Nexus 14-9, and Trijyoti defeated Angels NHS 18-13.
The tournament was inaugurated by Valley Public High School President Major Lil Bahadur Gurung by handing over the ball to referee Dipesh. The tournament will continue till Mangsir 29.
