Gaighat United has entered the finals of the first Gachhiya Gold Cup International Invitational after a tough win over Sahales Football Club Siraha.

In the first semi-final match held at the Gachhiya Bazaar Sports Ground in Sundarharaicha, Morang, Gaighat United came close to the title with a hard-fought 1-0 win over Sahales. Sunil Khadka's three-kick goal was the decisive one to send Udayapure team Gaighat on a journey to the final. He scored the three-kick goal in the 69th minute of the game in a brilliant manner. Binod Rai of Gaighat was declared the man of the match and received a cash prize of Rs 5,100. 

Gaighat will now compete for the title with the winner of the last semi-final between the hosts Gachhiya Yuva Samaj and Rastriya Jagriti Club Itahari on Saturday in the final on Monday. 

The winner will receive Rs 201,000 and the runner-up will receive Rs 101,000.
