A club-level invitational volleyball tournament is scheduled to be held in Bhambak, Rampur Municipality, Palpa, from November 16. This is the second time that Bhambak United Youth Club is holding the tournament.
The club has stated that preparations are in the final stages. The competition, organized to attract youth to the sport and promote volleyball and produce new players, will continue till November 20. The competition will be attended by District Volleyball Association Palpa, Armed Police Force (APF) Kaski, organizers Bhambak United Youth, District Volleyball Association Nawalpur, Horizon Volleyball Club Rupandehi, Manimukunda Volleyball Club Rupandehi, and District Volleyball Association Syangja, said coordinator Anup Malla. The winner of the competition, which will be held under the patronage of Rampur Municipality, will win a cash prize of Rs 200,000. The second place winner will be given Rs 100,000, the third place winner will be given Rs 50,000, and the consolation team will be given Rs 30,000. The best player will get Rs 10,000. Club president Balkrishna Kumal said that prizes of Rs 5,000 each have been arranged for the best spiker, libero, setter, server, and midblocker.
A team can field three players who have played at the national and international levels. The competition is being organized in collaboration with the Palpa District Volleyball Association, Rampur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Municipal Sports Development Committee.
