In the next match on Friday, New Moon Academy defeated New Light Secondary School by 8 wickets. New Light, who were invited to bat after losing the toss, scored 65 runs in 14 overs and 2 balls in the scheduled 20 overs. Gagan Aryal scored 14 and Shushal Kharel scored 10 runs for them. New Moon's Ashish Yadav took 4 wickets and Imran Sheikh took 3 wickets in the bowling. In reply, New Moon scored 66 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 7 overs and 3 balls to win. They urged the players to play with discipline and dedication, saying that tomorrow's national players will be produced from the school level. They said that such school-level competitions will help bring out new talents. They said that Rupandehi has become a hub for sports along with education in recent times. Sports Coordinator Uday Kumar Mallik informed that 30 schools from Rupandehi are participating in the competition organized with the aim of producing players from the school level.
