The 14th PABSON Mid-Regional Basketball Tournament, organized by the PABSON Mid-Regional Committee, began on Monday.
The first day ended with 8 wins in senior boys, 4 in junior boys and 2 in senior girls. In senior boys, Everest Florida defeated Albert 49-14, Kathmandu Xaviers defeated Akshar 33-23, Sirjansheel 33-8, Kathmandu English School (KES) defeated Spangle 22-17, Hems defeated Asian 33-14 and Marvelous 39-22 and Albert defeated Supreme International by 25-5 scores.
In junior boys, Innovative defeated Kathmandu Xaviers 21-16, Asian Public defeated Little Flower 14-8, Hems defeated Chaitanya 18-11 and Sunshine defeated Marvelous by 21-11 scores.
In senior girls, Kathmandu Xaviers defeated Chaitanya 29-16 and KES defeated Sunshine 26-18.
The competition was inaugurated by Bagmati Province PABSON President Murari Prakash Sanjel.
18 teams are participating in the senior boys category and 12 teams each in senior girls and junior boys, according to Dhan Prasad Subba, President of PABSON Central Region.
