Ward number one has won the Mayor's Cup Running Shield football tournament held in Thaha Municipality.
In the final match held on Sunday, Ward No. 1 defeated Ward No. 3 by a 2-1 goal margin to win the title. Rohit Thokar and Dinesh Amatya scored goals for Ward No. 1, while Roshan Tamang scored goals for Ward No. 3.
The winner of the competition, Ward No. 1, received a shield and medal along with Rs. 50,000. The runner-up received a shield, medal and certificate along with Rs. 25,000. Mayor Bishnu Bahadur Bista distributed prizes to the winner and runner-up teams in the municipality.
Nine teams from Thahanagar participated in the competition, which began on Thursday at Indrayani Chaur in Ward No. 3 of Thaha Municipality.
