Rolpa Municipality has won the title of the four-day open kabaddi tournament held in Rolpa. The tournament, organized by the District Kabaddi Association in Libang, was attended by teams from Rolpa, Pyuthan, Dang, Rupandehi and other districts.

Eight teams participated in the first open kabaddi competition organized in Rolpa since November 19. Kabaddi teams from various rural municipalities and districts of Rolpa participated. The Rolpa Municipality team that won the first title was honored by Rolpa Municipality. Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City came in second, and Butwal Sub-metropolitan City, Rupandehi, came in third. The first, second, third, and consolation teams in the competition were honored with cash prizes and certificates by the District Kabaddi Association, Rolpa. The first, second, third, and consolation teams were awarded Rs 40,000, Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000, and Rs 10,000, respectively, said Giriraj Roka, President of Rolpa Kabaddi Association.

In the sports competition, Sukdev Budhathoki of Rolpa Municipality was declared the Best Player of the Tournament, Sonu Budha of Rolpa Municipality was declared the Best Rider, Tilak Sunar of Rolpa Municipality was declared the Best Defender, Ganesh Bik of Tulsipur Sub-metropolitan City was declared the Young Player, and Rahul Aryal of Butwal Sub-metropolitan City was declared the Disciplined Player.

The main guest of the competition was the team captain of the national kabaddi team, Ghanshyam Roka, a resident of Rolpa Dhawang. He was presented with a certificate of appreciation on the occasion.
