Nepal has emerged as the runner-up in the first edition of the Blind Women's T20 Cricket World Cup. India defeated Nepal by 7 wickets in the final held in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Sunday. With this, Nepal remained as the runner-up.

India had won the toss and invited Nepal to bat. Nepal could not perform as expected and scored only 114 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Captain Binita Pun was run out for 4 runs while Mankeshi Chaudhary was out for 8 runs.

B-1 batter Sushma Tamang scored 6 runs in 24 balls. Bimala Rai added 26 runs in 26 balls to share a 61-run partnership with Sarita Ghimire. Nepal lost 5 wickets for 95 runs, where Isara Maya was out for a duck. Sarita Ghimire contributed 33 runs in 37 balls and Binita Somai contributed 9 runs.

India registered an easy victory by scoring 1117 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 11.4 overs. Opener A Devi was out for 2 runs and D Thimbalahati was run out for 7 runs by Sarita Ghimire. Karuna Kumari scored 42 runs off 27 balls to set India on the path to victory. Towards the end, Pula Suren scored 44 runs off 26 balls and Basanti Hasda scored 12 runs to make India the champion. Nepal's team consisted of Geeta Poudel, Binita Pun, Binita Somai, Delhisara Dhamala, Devaki Thapa Magar, Angila Dhakal, Mankeshi Chaudhary, Kanti Dagoura, Sarita Ghimire, Sunita Bhujel, Sushma Tamang, Poonam Chaudhary, Laxmi Tamang, Esramaya Lungeli Magar, Bimala Rai and Pratibha Rai. The team's head coach was Puran Singh Khatri, assistant coach Narendra Niraula and team manager Bhagwati Bhattarai Baral. Seven countries, including Nepal, participated in the competition.
