Christian City School (CCS) has won the title of the fifth edition of the Inter-School T-20 Cricket Tournament. CCS won a prize money of Rs. 1 lakh.
In the final on Wednesday, CCS defeated Mahendranagar's Little Buddha Academy by 6 wickets. Runner-up Little Buddha got 50,000.
Little Buddha, who won the toss at the Mahendranagar Covered Hall, scored 88 runs after losing all their wickets. Manish Bista scored 36 runs. CCS's Naveen Bista and Ayush Singh took 3 wickets each and Ayush Singh took 2 wickets. Having been set a target of 89 runs, CCS achieved the target after losing 4 wickets. Himal Kunwar and Jeevan KC laid the foundation for victory by putting up a crucial partnership for the fifth wicket. Himal scored 38 runs and Jeevan scored 14 runs.
CCS's Aryan Dhanapali was adjudged the best batsman and Radiant Umavika's Roshan Badu was adjudged the best bowler. The competition was organized by International Public School. Padam Bogati, Chief of Bhimdatta Municipality, Kanchanpur, awarded the winners. School Management Committee Chairman Gauraj Bahadur Limbu expressed his commitment to continue conducting this competition.
