The National Sports Council (NSC) on Wednesday provided a state-of-the-art green-cutter machine to the Royal Nepal Golf Club to make the development of golf infrastructure in Nepal more effective.
One Honda model green-cutter machine and one water-pulling machine manufactured in Australia were handed over to the club by Council Member-Secretary Tanklal Ghising.
According to the NSC, the green-cutter machine with modern technology is considered one of the indispensable tools for field management. It is said that this machine will be very effective in leveling the surface of the green, keeping the grass at the appropriate height and organizing the playing field according to international standards.
The Royal Nepal Golf Club had been demanding the need for modern equipment for a long time to further strengthen the maintenance of the golf course. This equipment provided by the NSC is expected to improve the quality of the field, provide a better environment for players to practice and compete, and also help in promoting golf tourism.
With the collaboration between the National Sports Council and the Royal Nepal Golf Club, preparations are underway to gradually strengthen the infrastructure and administrative processes necessary for the sustainable development of golf.
