New Horizons and Bethel Winners

New Horizon Secondary School and Bethel Boarding School Tansen have won the boys' and girls' titles respectively in the under-14 inter-school football competition. In the boys' final on Tuesday, New Horizon defeated Devwani Sadharan and Sanskriti Secondary Schools 2-1 to win the title.

Horizon's Kevin Saru and Kiran Pun scored goals. Devwani's Dhan Bahadur Saru scored a goal. Kiran Pun was the final Man of the Match. Horizon received 15,000 and Devwani 8,000. In the category of students, the highest scorers were Alex Tamang and Adish Adhikari from St. Kapitanio, the best defender was Horizon's Safal Bahadur Darlami, the best midfielder was Devwani's Kosh Kumal, and the best player was Devwani's Krishna Bahadur Sinjali.

In the girls' category, Bethal won with 9 points and Paragon won with 4 points. The winner received 10 and the runner-up received 5,000. In the girls' category, the highest scorer and best player were Bethal's Sujebha Gurung, the best defender was Bethal's Serin Baral, the best midfielder was Paragon's Nikita Rana, and the best goalkeeper was Bethal's Gurans Gaha.

The winning players were awarded by Mayor of Tansen Municipality Santosh Lal Shrestha, President of the organizer Palpa District Football Association Pranaybir Jung Rana, Ward President Pradeep Khanal and others. The All Nepal Football Association has organized a competition in the district to select players from the school level. Karan Chitrakar, district member of the Palpa District Football Association, said that players will be selected from the district and the team will participate in the provincial level competition.
