Janakpur Bolts, the defending champions of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket tournament, and Hetauda School of Management and Social Sciences are set to collaborate again this year.
Representatives of the franchise team Janakpur and the management signed a joint agreement in Hetauda on Friday and announced that the collaboration will continue this year as well. On behalf of Janakpur, the club's co-investor Mahesh Sigdel and the management's principal signed the agreement and expressed their commitment to move forward by collaborating in the development and education of the game of cricket.
According to the agreement, it is understood that the college will provide support worth about 2.5 million rupees. The management's logo will be used on the helmets, caps and headgear used by the club's players.
The agreement was renewed because Janakpur captain Anil Sah and batter Shubh Kansakar studied at this college, informed Principal Joshi. 'The management has been investing in the field of sports for a long time. We are very happy to be associated with Janakpur,' said Principal Joshi.
The club's co-investor Sigdel claimed that he has prepared a team with a campaign to defend the title this year. This year's NPL will be held in Kathmandu from Mangsir 1. Preparations are underway to play the second edition of the tournament to be held at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground under floodlights.
