Ward No. 13 easily defeated Ward No. 24 5-0 in the first quarter-final of the tournament organized by Ward 23 at the Lainchaur Futsal Ground on Thursday.
In that match, Bikesh Shahi scored a hat-trick. The other goals were scored by Abhay Rana and Asis Kapali. Bikesh, who scored three goals, was declared the Man of the Match.
In the second quarterfinal, Ward 6 defeated Ward 14 1-0. Keshav Bhandari's goal was decisive in that match. Keshav was named Man of the Match.
In the third quarterfinal, Ward No. 4 won a tough 1-0 victory against Ward No. 3. Ward No. 4 won with a goal by Vikrant Narsingh Rana. Vikrant received the Man of the Match award.
In the fourth and final quarterfinal, Ward 11 ended the challenge of the defending champion Ward 16 1-0. Biraj Maharjan, who became the Man of the Match in that match, scored the goal.
