Host Thungram International Academy (TIA) has reached the quarterfinals of the 17th TIA Cup Inter-School Basketball Tournament.

In the boys' section, TIA defeated Euro School 53-28 on home court. TIA's Roshan Nagarkoti scored 19 points.

Constellation defeated Skibs 47-36, Valley Public defeated Appellae 48-30 and Hems defeated LRI 59-19 to reach the quarterfinals. Constellation's Sudin Tamang scored 14, Valley's Ashok Bik scored 12 and Hems' Ashutosh Yadav scored 17.

In other pre-quarterfinals, Wilson Academy defeated BMCA 37-27, NIMS defeated Greenland 64-26, Gyan Niketan defeated Durga Bhavani Academy 43-36 and SMD defeated VS Niketan 37-19 to secure a place in the quarterfinals. Wilson's Rehan Dangol scored 17, NIMS's Subash Himal scored 18, Gyan Niketan's Dipsan Adhikari scored 14, and SMD's Lajen Sherpa scored 7.
