Sanjay Rai of Sandakpur-2, Ilam, has won the second Labrekuti-Silauti Falgunanda Half Marathon. He won the 21-kilometer distance of the high mountains in 1 hour and 15 minutes and received a prize of 30,000.

In the men's veteran race, Vijay Kumar Rai of Dharan-17 Sunsari won the first place in 6 km distance in 26 minutes. Nawaraj Karki of Dolakha won the second place in 29 minutes and Phipraj Limbu of Dharan won the third place in 31 minutes. In the women's veteran race, Jamuna Limbu of Dharan-15 won the first place in 6 km distance in 33 minutes. Manita Sundas came second and Karuna Rai came third.
In the 6-kilometer race for girls, Lakpa Sherpa of Taplejung, Rabin Limbu and Sahil Limbu of Panchthar won the top three places, while in the girls' race, Juhi Rai of Bhojpur, Binita Rai and Senchuhang Rai of Dharan 15 won the top three places.
The half marathon was organized on the occasion of the 141st birth anniversary of Falgunanda Lingden, the 16th great personality of Nepal and the founder of Kirat religion.
The half marathon started from Labrekuti, the workplace of Falgunanda, and ended at Labrekuti, said Purnahang Tumbapo (Renzo), president of the organizing District Athletics Association.
