Marathon runner Manandhar is the player who has won three consecutive gold medals at the South Asian Games (SAG). The record of 2 hours 15 minutes 03 seconds he set in the third edition held in India in 1987 is still valid. Manandhar, who has participated in four different editions of the Olympics, has also competed in the Asian Games.
Karate great Shrestha is a double gold medalist at the South Asian Games (SAG). Shrestha, who is the president of the Nepal National and International Athletes Association, won gold in karate at the 8th and 9th SAG.
