Hikmat Mahara has become the 'iconic player' of Sudurpaschim Royals for the Nepal Premier League (NPL). Fast bowler Hikmat excelled in the 'talent hunt' and became an 'iconic player'.
Nearly 300 people participated in the ‘Talent Hunt’ held at Dhangadhi Cricket Academy. The training team led by Jagat Tamata selected the players in two phases.
Hikmat will now play for Sudurpaschim Royals in the NPL. Apart from Iconic, 5 other players have been placed in Sudurpaschim’s development team. They include Om Prakash Ghimire, Solup Chaudhary, Tekraj Thalal, Tarvis Jaisi and Abhishek Koirala.
Hikmat came first in Beat the Speed by bowling at 131 kmph and Abhishek came third by bowling at 125 kmph.
