Saif Zaib will play for Chitwan Rhinos in the second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) cricket. Chitwan Rhinos announced the signing of the English county all-rounder on Sunday through their social media.

Last season, Jaib led Sudurpaschim Royals to the final. In the final, he scored 69 runs off 43 balls, the highest for Sudurpaschim. Despite that, Sudurpaschim lost to Janakpur Bolts by 5 wickets in the final. Jaib was named Player of the Tournament. 

He scored 275 runs in 9 matches of the first season of NPL. He was fourth in the list of highest run-scorers in the NPL and was 18 runs behind Janakpur's Lahiru Milantha, who scored the highest run. In the league match against Lumbini Lions, Jaib played an innings of 90 runs. Jaib took 12 wickets at an economy of 6.24. 

The 27-year-old Jaib has been playing county cricket for Northamptonshire. He is the third foreign player to play the second season of NPL from Chitwan. The team has already signed England's Ravi Bopara and Dawid Malan. The team also includes veteran Pakistani bowler Sohail Tanvir and Ugandan Alpheus Ramjani. Last season, Chitwan reached the playoffs by finishing fourth.
