Former India fast bowler Tinu Yohanan has been appointed as the coach of Lumbini Lions. Lumbini informed about Yohanan's appointment through a press release on Friday.

The 46-year-old played three Tests and three ODIs for India in 2001-02. Under Yohanan's coaching, Kerala played the Ranji Trophy from 2020 to 2023. He was the coach of Andhra Pradesh last season.

He has also worked at the MRF Pace Foundation. The Lions had appointed former India all-rounder Robin Singh as their mentor the previous day.  

Lumbini is playing in the NPL under the leadership of Nepali national team captain Rohit Poudel. The team includes players including Sandeep Jora.
