Darshil Shrestha won the U-16 Boys Singles title at the Mystic Mountain Grand Open Tennis Tournament on Friday.
In the final of the tournament organized by Hotel Mystic Mountain in collaboration with the Nepal Tennis Association, Darshil defeated Asab Samrat Hada 3-6, 6-0, 6-3. Swastika Bista won the U-16 girls' singles. Swastika defeated Shivali Gurung 6-4, 7-6 in the final. Both will face each other in the open women's singles final on Saturday.
Kayan Chalise won the U-9 boys' singles and Nimti Kunwar won the girls' singles at the tennis court in Satdobato. Kayan defeated Sarbgyanjang Khatri 4-1, 4-2 in the final and Nimti defeated Amira Gupta 4-1, 5-4 in the final.
Kayan also won the U-10 boys' singles while winning the double gold. He defeated Sonam Ghale 6-2, 6-4 in the final. In the U-12 girls' singles final, Sara Panta defeated Naira Ghale 6-1, 6-2 to win the gold.
Pradeep Khadka and Pranab Manandhar will compete for the men's singles title. In the semifinals, Pradeep defeated Rajbir Pradhan 6-3, 6-3 and Pranab defeated Nissan Shrestha 7-5, 6-2.
In the U-12 boys' singles, Vedanta Chalise defeated Arit Malla 7-6, 6-3 and Bishwavishe Dallakoti defeated Sabyajung Karki 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 to set up the final.
Sange Rokaya defeated Arit Malla 6-2, 6-3 and Vedanta Chalise defeated Yuvenman Shrestha 6-0, 6-4 to secure a place in the U-14 boys' singles final. In the girls' singles, Ira Khatri defeated Swara Thapa 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 and Sara Pant defeated Ayusha GC 7-6, 6-3 to set up a title clash.
