A training camp for the selection of the Nepali U-19 national team for the Asia Qualifiers to be held in the UAE has begun at the Siddhartha Cricket Stadium in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi, organized by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
The Asia Qualifier is being held in the UAE from November 19 to 30 under the organization of ACC. A camp is being held to select teams to participate in the competition. 30 players from all over the country have been invited to participate in the training camp.
The players are being trained by coaches Manjit Shrestha and Dhirendra Chand. Head coach Manjit Shrestha informed that separate teams of 30 players are being formed at the Siddhartha Stadium and an internal competition is also being held.
The training will last for four days and then 18 players will be selected based on all aspects including their best performance and experience. According to him, the U-19 national team will be announced after the training camp in Bhairahawa. There will be 4 internal competitive matches during the training, of which two matches have already been played
. Rupandehi Cricket Association President Hari Bahadur Thapa said that the U-19 team is training on a good and excellent ground as the Siddhartha Stadium is kept ready even during the rainy season.
