Nepal has lost to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the match held under ICC World Cup League-2 today. With this, Nepal has become winless in the triangular ODI series of this league.

Nepal became winless after losing to the home team UAE by four wickets in the fourth and final match held at the ICC Academy, Dubai. Earlier, Nepal had lost to the USA by 106 runs and four wickets and to the UAE by five wickets.

Today, the UAE achieved the target of 240 runs set by Nepal with five balls to spare, losing 6 wickets.

For the UAE, Mohammad Shahdad scored the highest score of 96 runs in 123 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. Similarly, Mohammad Wasim scored 76 runs in 73 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes, Sohaib Khan contributed 29, captain Alishan Sharafoo 18 and Harshit Kaushik 13 runs.

For Nepal, Karan KC took 3 wickets while Nandan Yadav, Lalit Narayan Rajbanshi and Sandeep Lamichhane took 1 wicket each.

Batting first after losing the toss, Nepal scored a total of 239 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs.

Bhim Sarki contributed the most with 48 runs for Nepal. Similarly, Kushal Malla scored 45, Dipendra Singh Airi 37, Asif Sheikh 34, Arif Sheikh 30 and Sandeep Lamichhane scored 15 runs unbeaten.

Junaid Siddiqui, Mohammad Jawadullah and Dhruv Parashar took 2 wickets each for UAE while Zahid Ali took 1 wicket.

With this defeat, Nepal, which has collected 12 points from 20 matches, has reached the seventh place in the points table. With the win, UAE is at the last place with 10 points from the same number of matches.
