The Samriddhi Open Women's Basketball Championship is being organized by Angels Heart National School. It will start from Kartik 19 at the Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwor.
Eight teams, including senior and U-16, will participate in the championship to be held in collaboration with the Nepal Basketball Association (NEBA), said Angels School Principal Tak Bahadur Thapa. Four teams, including Xavier College, Satpal Academy, Training Ground Sports and Grand Star, will compete in the senior category. The senior category will be played in a double league format.
Four teams, including Bouddha Meridian, RIBS, Valley Public and Swarnim School, will compete in the U-16 category. The top three teams in the senior category will receive prizes of 40, 20 and 10 thousand rupees respectively.
The organizers have estimated the cost of the championship to be 600,000 to 700,000. It is said that the championship will be broadcast live on social platforms.
