A meeting held on Monday between the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) and the Martyrs' Memorial League 'A' Division clubs has decided to hold a national league this year. Accordingly, the national league will be held from Poush 9. In this case, it will not be an 'A' Division league.

The next ‘A’ Division League will be held on a ‘Home and Away’ basis from Poush 3 next year. The meeting has also fixed the schedule for that.

A total of ten teams will participate in the upcoming national league. Out of which, the top six teams in the last ‘A’ Division will participate. The names of those clubs are – Church Boys, Machhindra, Police, Jawalakhel, Satdobato and NRT. The remaining four teams will be selected from the ANFA President’s Cup League Football. This tournament will be held in Hetauda and the matches will start from Kartik 19.
