Lumbini Lions have released their official song ‘Syabas’ on the eve of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The Lions have also released their official song on the occasion of the NPL Trophy Tour currently underway in Lumbini Province.

This poetic anthem, which combines Buddhist philosophy and sports, has the words and voice of Nawaraj Parajuli. This anthem was written mainly from the feelings of the audience, its creator Nawaraj Parajuli said in a Lions press release. Parajuli said that the audience outside the field is also immersed in the game like the 11 players on the field and that audience is included in the anthem as the twelfth player.

The lyrics of the song are ‘We will become the twelfth player of Lumbini, we will pat ourselves on the back and say, “Well done”’. It is said that the greatness of meditation and breathing in Buddhist philosophy is presented in the anthem in the language of sports. The anthem’s music is composed by Ujjwal Sagar and the lyrical video is produced by Vivek Nisani.
