The Nepal Volleyball Association bid farewell to the Nepali team that will be playing in the Kava U-19 Women's Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.

The tournament to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from November 18 to 23 will feature Nepal, hosts Sri Lanka, Maldives and Kyrgyzstan.

Nepal finished third in the Kava U-20 Women's Volleyball Championship held in the Maldives last year, while Kyrgyzstan won the title.

Newly appointed Sports Minister Bablu Gupta, while bidding farewell to the Nepali team, advised the players to raise the pride of the national flag. He informed that discussions have been held regarding acquiring the land of the scout in Lainchaur to build a covered hall for Nepal's national game of volleyball.

The Nepali team, captained by Jenisha Bishwakarma, includes Meena Sunar, Ashika Chhetri, Nisha Mahar, Angela Pradhan, Bhavana Tamang, Krishna Dangi, Samjhana Nepali, Pratibha Chaudhary, Snita Khatri, Revika Lama Tamang and Binita Rana.
